How to Sell Your iPhone Pics Using Stockimo
Ready to sell your iPhone pics using the groovy Stockimo App?
It was April ’14 when I first picked up an iPhone to shoot with so I’m still a newbie.
Having said that – for any super high quality stock and art images that I need to nail I’ll definitely pull my Sony Nex7 out of the bag.
My iPhone is a warm-up camera for casual events and situations where your focus is instantaneous online stuff.
But sometimes I like to play with the iPhone filters, just for the occasional zen master experiment.
Even though I titled this post How to sell your iPhone pics using Stockimo the reality is that we’re not really showing you how to sell here.
The selling only comes when you’ve snapped awesome iPhone photos, landed a killer Stockimo ranking score and woken wake up with dollars in your Paypal account.
Still, you have to start somewhere.
Shoot what you love and be as creative and adventurous as you like. Submit interesting places and people and of-the-moment photography that documents the world. What you take is up to you! [Distimo]
How Stockimo works:
- Upload your iPhone photos (currently only for iPhones)
- Describe each image with a caption and tag key features and concepts to be used as ‘keywords’ to help customers find your photos
- Submit and get your photos rated
- Photos are rated out of 4, if you get an average score above 2 the photo gets in
- If your photos are accepted, they’ll go on sale at Alamy.com and its distribution network
- The app will tell you when your photos sell
- You’ll get paid your share every month if you’ve made over $10
- There’s an early bird offer where you’ll earn 40% commission on every sale, after that it’s 20%
- You keep the copyright, your photos stay on Alamy to sell again and again
‘How Stockimo Works’ above & Key Features below quoted from Distimo.com
Stockimo Key Features:
- Free
- Unlimited uploads
- Very simple to use
- Upload filtered images, including photos taken with other apps (Instagram, Hipstamatic, Snapseed etc)
- Images get rated by photo experts
- Build your portfolio and put your creativity to the test
- iPhone 4s and above
Today we’ll show you how to use your iPhone photos with the Stockimo iPhone app and the Hipstamatic photo filter. You might use different iPhone filters. I find that the Hipstamatic filter works well with Stockimo.
The built-in iPhone photo filters don’t ‘upload’ to Stockimo for some reason. This is why I rock the Hipstamatic. How can you not love the name?
